Our Commitment
We support communities to help young people overcome drug and substance addiction by providing safe spaces, recovery programs, mentorship, and reintegration pathways. Our approach is youth-centered, community-driven, and focused on restoring dignity, purpose, and long-term resilience.
Through partnerships with health professionals, community workers, and rehabilitation programs, we ensure that every young person has access to the support, care, and opportunities required to rebuild their life.
What We Do
Our Drug Addiction Recovery Programs focuses on prevention, recovery, and reintegration. We mobilize youth, families, and communities to create supportive environments where individuals can fully heal and thrive.
Awareness & Sensitization
We conduct grassroots sensitization forums, school outreach programs, and youth-led campaigns to reduce stigma, promote healthy choices, and create awareness of the dangers of substance abuse.
Recovery Support & Counseling
We provide psychosocial support, community healing forums, and youth-led safe spaces to help individuals and families recover emotionally.
Reintegration & Empowerment
We empower recovering youth through skills training, entrepreneurship support, and job placement programs to help them rebuild their lives with dignity and economic stability.

STEP 1
Registration
To access this opportunity, you’ll need to first register as a member of HYK SACCO. Membership gives you access to all our programs, learning resources, mentorship opportunities, and a community of peer entrepreneurs and youth leaders.
Once registered, you can submit your application — either online or at a local HYK center.
Application Period:
- Ongoing (apply early to secure your slot!)
STEP 2
Assessment & Selection
After reviewing applications, our team will invite shortlisted youth for a brief interview or pitch session (virtual or in-person).
During this stage, we evaluate:
- Your readiness and passion for entrepreneurship
- Commitment to active participation and learning
- Interest in working collaboratively in savings groups or enterprise teams
HYK values effort and potential over experience—every young person deserves a chance to grow.
STEP 3
Approval
Once selected, you will be required to undergo a mandatory 2 weeks business and financial training, and upon success completion and Agreeing to the SACCO’s repayment terms and schedule, you will receive the the microloan.
We don’t just give loans—we walk with you. Members receive:
- Regular check-ins to track progress
- Ongoing access to HYK networks and post-program support, and
- Marketing and business showcase opportunities
