Our Programs
Basic Education Access
Creating learning opportunities, increasing access to quality education, and supporting educational infrastructure across Kenya.
Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and build a brighter future. At Harambee Youth Kenya, we work to break the barriers that prevent children and youth from accessing quality basic education. Through scholarships, school support, literacy programs, and community engagement, we ensure that no young person is left behind—regardless of their background or circumstances.
Why Basic Education Access Matters
Education is the foundation for opportunity. Yet many children face challenges such as poverty, long distances to school, lack of school supplies, early responsibilities at home, or limited support systems. Without education, their chances of escaping poverty or pursuing meaningful careers shrink.
By supporting access to basic education, we empower youth to:
Build strong academic foundations
Develop confidence, curiosity, and lifelong learning habits
Discover their talents and career paths early
Reduce vulnerability to exploitation, crime, and early marriage
Improve the future wellbeing of their families and communities
Education changes everything—and it starts with access.
What We Offer
We work with communities, schools, parents, and youth leaders to break down barriers to education. Our programs focus on literacy, access to quality learning environments, and strengthening school infrastructure in underserved areas.
School Infrastructure Support
We partner with communities to build and improve classrooms, libraries, sanitation facilities, and learning resources to enhance safe and effective learning environments.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
We offer scholarships, school supplies, and support outreach and mentorship programs that help vulnerable learners stay in school and succeed academically.
Community Learning Centers
We support communities to establish learning hubs that provide accessible study spaces, tutoring, digital learning opportunities, and literacy support for children and youth.
